Interviews, Conferences and Seminars, Manuscript Drafts

  • $3.00/double spaced page transcribed from audio tape; $3.00/double spaced page transcribed from CD (MP3, WAV, WMA files); $6.00/double spaced page transcribed from video tape, plus postage provides a first draft transcribed according to oral history practice and emailed as an IBM PC format attachment.

Tapescribe also offers

  • Priority Handling - add $.25/page; Problem Tapes - add $.25/page; Over Two Speakers - add $.15/page/speaker; Revisions and final version - $15.00/hour.
  • The double-spaced page format used produces one page of text for every two minutes of tape. Therefore, a 60 minute interview would come to about 30 pages and at $3.00/page, cost $90.00.
